Lianne Kerr

She thinks, talks and writes for a living.

Lianne joined Thought Shop after a lengthy branding, writing and producing career in Vancouver. Back in the day, she trained as a journalist (Ryerson), creative writer (UBC) and mediator (Justice Institute), and then spent 12 years honing her sharp, targeted writing with some top-shelf firms like Karyo-Edelman, Envisioning + Storytelling and the 2010 Winter Olympic Games as a staff writer, storyteller and, on occasion, creative shrink.

Lianne's coffee table books and oddball magazine columns have garnered some serious praise, but she's likely best known for memorable corporate branding work that hits the strategic bullseye. For that, her first step is always the same: capture the foundational wording that defines and drives each client, and then share that story in a way that grabs its audience and achieves its goals. It's a process that requires her to distill a mountain of information and a roomful of opinions so that, in the end, she can create smart, lively work that stirs even the crustiest, most uninterested crowd.
